A breakdown of these series by date of production is not presently available. According to BEP records, notes of these series were delivered to the Treasury between April 1934 and April 1953.

The table below shows the serial number ranges produced for the regular and star notes in these series. Color denotes the special yellow-seal North Africa printings.

Note that Series 1934A actually ended production later than did Series 1934B, and that for a short time there were four different series in production simultaneously.

It is unclear whether there is any mixing of series in the star notes during the 1934C/1934D transition. The highest known serial from the earlier series is below the lowest known serial from the later series; however, it seems likely that at least some slight overlaps may have occurred.

It is also uncertain whether the ending serial number A 1000 00000 A was actually printed. This nine-digit serial had to be applied to a note by hand, since the automatic numbering equipment could hold only eight digits, and it is possible that the BEP did not go to the trouble of printing it in every block.
