The table below shows the serial number ranges produced for the notes in this series. The serial numbers do not begin at 1, but rather continue on from the last number used on the 1862 notes. All notes in this series have Chittenden-Spinner signatures.

The script date 1862 is an error; it should have been 1863 on all of these notes.

On the notes with two serial numbers, the second serial number is printed in quite a different typeface. Apparently this left-hand serial was added at the BEP, after ABNCo. had delivered the notes with only one serial. In contrast, the lower denominations of this date had both serials printed at the banknote companies, in the same typeface; the reason for the difference is not clear.
