A breakdown of this series by date of production is not presently available. According to BEP records, notes of this series were delivered to the Federal Reserve between May 1972 and October 1973.

The table below shows the serial number ranges produced for the regular and star notes in this series. Serial numbering does not begin at 00000001A in each district, but rather continues on from the last serial used for Series 1969A. All complete blocks run from 00000001 to 99999999, with the 100,000,000th note replaced by a star note. Notice that gaps of 160,000 serials occur frequently in the star notes; these are due to the print runs of mixed regular and star notes that are necessary to complete each block of regular notes (since 100,000,000 notes equals 156.25 print runs of 640,000 notes each).

Notes

The print run of B..* notes in this series was a partial one, containing only 14,000 sheets instead of the usual 20,000. Therefore, the last 6,000 of each 20,000 serial numbers in this run were skipped. That is, serials B 108 80001 * through B 108 94000 * were printed, B 108 94001 * through B 109 00000 * were skipped, B 109 00001 * through B 109 14000 * were printed, and so on to the last serial number actually used, B 115 14000 *. (Note that this is opposite to the convention adopted later for such partial print runs, in which the omitted serials occur at the beginning of each group of 20,000 within the run.)
