A breakdown of this series by date of production is not presently available. According to BEP records, notes of this series were delivered to the Federal Reserve between May 1965 and July 1969.

The table below shows the serial number ranges produced for the regular and star notes in this series. Serial numbering does not begin at 00000001A in each district, but rather continues on from the last serial used for Series 1963. All complete blocks run from 00000001 to 99999999, with the 100,000,000th note replaced by a star note. Notice that gaps of 160,000 serials occur frequently in the star notes; these are due to the print runs of mixed regular and star notes that are necessary to complete each block of regular notes (since 100,000,000 notes equals 156.25 print runs of 640,000 notes each).

Notes

Two gaps of 160,000 serials each exist in both the B..* and G..* printings, and one in each of the A..*, E..*, and L..* printings, but their precise locations are not known.

Many (likely all) of the notes with serials E 635 00001 A through E 635 20000 A are mismatched serial errors: In the right-hand serial number, the second digit '3' is replaced by a '4'.
